Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)

A softer way into yourself. A clearer way out of what’s been weighing on you.
Motherhood has a way of cracking open what we thought we had hidden safely beneath the surface. Old experiences of being parented show up in our process of becoming the caregiver; painful events sit in our nervous system while we are simultaneously given zero time to process because we have others relying on us for their livelihood.
If you’re carrying grief, anxiety, deep sadness, or exhaustion that traditional therapy hasn’t fully shifted, KAP can offer a powerful opening.
KAP is not about escaping your life. It’s about creating enough inner space to finally breathe, feel, and reconnect with the version of you who’s been buried under responsibilities, grief, or burnout.

What KAP Is
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy combines low-dose ketamine (prescribed through Journey Clinical) with a therapeutic process tailored for mothers.
Ketamine supports:
Neuroplasticity - the brains powerful ability to shift pathways of thinking and understand our lives from a new perspective.
Emotional openness - safely being able to view painful events from a position of curiosity rather than overwhelm.
Pattern shifts - the ability to see how you are repeating patterns that you don’t want to keep, and learn to ditch them over time.
Near instantaneous relief from depressive and anxious symptoms
Therapy helps you make sense of it and integrate the insights learned while you were with the medicine, into your everyday life.
You are never alone in this safe, FDA approved, and evidence based process. Sessions are guided, supported, and grounded.
How Ketamine Feels
Most clients describe ketamine as:
Calm
Expansive
Insightful
A temporary sense of stepping outside the mental loop
During the dosing phase (60 - 90 minutes), you may feel far from your body or immersed in imagery or emotion.
When you return to baseline, we shift into therapy to help translate the experience into meaningful change.

The Process
1. Initial Consultation
We discuss your intentions, symptoms, and goals. If KAP is appropriate, you’ll be referred to Journey Clinical for medical screening.
2. Preparation Session
We explore mindset, setting, and intentions — essential foundations for a meaningful dosing session.
3. KAP Dosing Session
A 3.5-hour in-home experience. You journey in the safety of your own home and me by your side for 90 minutes, followed by a light nutritious meal and therapeutic integration using modalities like EMDR, IFS, art therapy, or somatic work.
4. Integration Session
Approximately one week later, we explore what's shifted and what’s unfolding in a virtual session.
Most women experience meaningful change after one session; many pursue a full series of 6–8 for deeper transformation.
